Discussions are underway between Hamilton County, home to Pacol Stadium, and the organization to reach a new lease on the property, as the two sides’ current agreement expires in 2026. As part of the negotiations between the county and the team, The Bengals spent $100 million. Renovations at Peycol Stadium. These renovations will “include fan experience areas, updated video and audio systems, suite and club lounge renovations, concession upgrades, beautification projects and more.” According to Steve Watkins of Cincinnati Business Courier.
Renovations have begun and the county will make you an offer in late May. Hamilton County announced this in a press release. They were selling 5-7 year old “slightly used” TVs that had been removed from Paykol Stadium as part of a renovation project. The TVs were being sold at a significant discount based on the following pricing scale:
- 24″ to 39″ $30
- 40″-49″ $40
- 50″-55″ $50
- 56″ to 85″ $60
Buyers were instructed to “bring someone to help you load your belongings and a suitable vehicle to fit the items you are purchasing.”
The first round, held June 1, saw 200 TVs sold, according to the county. A second sale is planned This weekend on July 13th, tickets will be on sale on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8am at Gate D of Paycol Stadium and running until noon or until TVs sell out, whichever comes first.
There was no mention of whether the proceeds would be used to pay for Tee Higgins’ long-term contract extension.
