Teen Jumps onto Runaway Boat After Captain Goes Overboard

A teenager performed a daring rescue on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire on Wednesday and locals are thanking him for his bravery.

The unmanned vessel became dangerously out of control after its captain fell in Smith Bay, but 17-year-old Brady Prokon quickly took action after his father warned him, WCVB reported. report July 4th.

The boat appears to have belonged to a local sailing association, and while an instructor was teaching a group of children, he tried to grab a tennis ball to show them how to turn when, at that moment, one of the students’ boats flipped over, causing a section of the mast to hit the instructor’s throttle, causing him to fall into the water.

After helping evacuate the children to safety from the deserted boat, Procon hopped on the back of a neighbor’s jet ski to finish the job.

In an interview with WMUR, Procon said: Said“I don’t know. It just occurred to me. I didn’t really think about it, I just did it.”

Video footage show The boat spun around and around, and the boaters looked on from their own vessels. Moments later, Prokon walked alongside the empty boat and jumped on. It took him only a few seconds to bring the boat to a halt, and onlookers applauded his actions.
