Never-Trump supporter Bill Kristol has called on President Joe Biden to step down as the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, saying he “cannot last another four years” and that his chances of defeating former President Donald Trump are “highly unlikely.”
He posted on X on Tuesday.

2. Joe Biden will not be able to hold onto power for another four years, so his chances of beating Trump are very slim.
3. Biden should step down and the Democrats should nominate a candidate who can beat Trump.If this is “elitism”, then common sense is elitist too.

Kristol’s tweet came at a time when the 81-year-old Biden has decided to seek reelection in 2024 and Democrats are gradually beginning to support him following his disastrous performance in a debate with Trump, when he was unable to finish his argument and sparked panic within the Democratic Party.

So far, six House Democrats have publicly called on Biden to choose someone else to run for president in 2024, while progressive and black leaders in Congress have said they will support Biden.
Post-debate Emerson College poll Indicated Support for Biden has fallen, especially among independents. The poll gave Trump a 3 percentage point lead over Biden, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.
