Iconic Dallas Pat Colbert, who played Dora Mae on the long-running CBS drama, has died at the age of 77 after a bout of illness.
Her death follows the actress’s three strokes over the past decade. Daily Express Reports.
Born Sandra Patricia Colbert, Pat’s father worked in construction and her mother worked as a foster carer.
She appeared in series 7 Dallas In 1983, Dora was manager of the Oil Barons Club, a restaurant in a high-rise building that was also a popular spot for the Ewing family, and she remained on the show until its final season in 1991.
“Dora Mae, the series’ only recurring African-American character, had no storyline, and while Dallas never attempted to become anything more than the Ewing family’s story, she played the role with grace and intelligence,” Sean Chang of the blog The Hill Place previously said. of The Hollywood Reporter.
The star’s acting resume includes 1987’s Leonard Part 6 She starred alongside Bill Cosby in the film Comedy Spies. Pat played Allison Parker in the spy comedy about a retired spy who runs a restaurant.
She also appeared on the ABC series Scapegoat 1981.
In addition to her sister, she is survived by two brothers and a son, Michael.
A date for Colbert’s funeral has not yet been set.
