The ad points out the Democrat’s tendency to align with Biden, with the narrator saying, “Extremely liberal Sherrod Brown voted for Biden 99% of the time.”
Citing an analysis of Senate votes in the 117th Congress in 2021 and 2022, the campaign said Brown supported Biden 98.5% of the time. Five Thirty Eight.

“Sherrod Brown is 99% in favor of Biden’s disastrous policies that have destroyed our economy, opened our southern border wide, waged war on American energy and betrayed the working people of Ohio,” Moreno spokesman Reagan McCarthy said in a statement. “Brown may try to get away with his record of voting in lockstep with his longtime friend Joe Biden, but Ohioans know he has consistently approved of the policies of this Administration.”

The ad is part of a seven-figure statewide ad buy that will be distributed via digital, streaming and mail.
The video plays additional footage recorded by Brown in 2019, in which he is heard saying, “We have a racist president,” referring to former President Trump.

The ad also includes footage of Biden calling Brown his “buddy” and a link to a website called JustLikeBiden.com.
“Sherrod works for the state of Ohio, which is why she has stood up to presidents of both parties to block bad trade deals, worked with Republicans to ensure Border Patrol and law enforcement agents have the resources they need, and called on the Biden Administration to crack down on Chinese-made solar products that are squeezing Ohio manufacturers,” Brown spokesman Matt Keyes said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“Bernie Moreno, on the other hand, cannot be trusted and is only looking out for his own interests.”
The Ohio Senate race is rated “close” by nonpartisan political handicappers. Cook Political ReportThere are only two other candidates in the Senate race.

Moreno’s latest ad running against Brown and tying his record to the president’s comes as Biden continues to slide in key polls of national voters heading into the November election. With split votes declining, Senate candidates have a much better chance of winning if the presidential candidate at the top of their list also wins in their state.
