Erica Stoll back on course with Rory McIlroy at Scottish Open

Erica Stoll is back on the golf course supporting her PGA Tour star husband, Rory McIlroy, after he withdrew his divorce filing after a brief separation.

Stoll was all smiles as he walked the course Thursday at the Genesis Scottish Open, where world number two McIlroy is looking to bounce back from a disastrous defeat at last month’s U.S. Open.

Stoll, who was carrying a Louis Vuitton crossbody bag, was at the Renaissance Club in Scotland wearing a grey sweater under a black jacket and dark trousers.

It was the first time Stoll was seen publicly supporting the world number two at a tournament since news of McIlroy’s divorce filing broke in May.

In divorce papers filed in Florida in May, McIlroy said his marriage was “irretrievably broken” and sought joint custody of his and Stoll’s 3-year-old daughter, Poppy, born in August 2020.

The following month, it was confirmed that McIlroy’s divorce filing had been voluntarily dismissed by a court in Palm Beach County, Florida, where the couple lives. Page 6.

“There have been some unfortunate rumours circulating recently about my personal life and it would be foolish to react to every single rumour,” McIlroy, 35, said. He told the Guardian This was said in a statement released on June 11th.

“Over the past few weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future is together as a family. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and are looking forward to a new beginning.”

The Daily Mail reports that McIlroy and CBS reporter Amanda Balionis have been “the talk of the town on the golf course.”

Stoll was a mainstay at McIlroy’s tournaments throughout his relationship with the golfer.

However, due to rumors about the state of their marriage at the time, she did not attend the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte on May 12, which McIlroy won.
