Ritchie Torres: Biden press conference will not be ‘political salvation’

Rep. Ritchie Torres (R-NY) doesn’t think President Biden’s press conference following the NATO summit will be “political relief” for his reelection campaign. “Neither tonight’s press conference nor Monday night’s NBC interview will be the kind of political relief the President is seeking,” Torres said in a post on social platform X on Thursday. Biden is scheduled to speak at the press conference.

Most say refusal to accept election results is a big problem: poll

A majority of U.S. adults believe that some people’s refusal to accept the election results is a “big problem for America,” according to a poll released Thursday. Fifty-eight percent of U.S. adults agree with that assessment in the Monmouth University poll, conducted June 6-10, including 74% of Democrats and 57% of independents. Among Republican respondents, nearly half (46%) believe that the refusal to accept the election results is a “big problem for America.”
