Bill Belichick is “inside the NFL” while sitting outside the coaching world.
Belichick, an eight-time Super Bowl champion, will serve as a commentator for the show’s return on Friday, Aug. 30 on the CW network.
“Bill Belichick joining Inside the NFL is truly a game-changer for this storied franchise and for The CW,” CW Networks president Dennis Miller said in a press release.
“Not only is he one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, but his knowledge and passion for football is truly unmatched. Fans will now have the opportunity to hear his insights and gain a deeper understanding of the nuances of the game from the master himself. We can’t wait to watch Bill, Ryan, Chad and Chris put on a championship-caliber show all season long.”
The 72-year-old Belichick parted ways with the Patriots this offseason and was unable to hire a new coach, but he has made his mark on the sports media world.
Belichick will also appear on “The Pat McAfee Show” throughout the season and will make regular appearances on “The Manning Cast,” which airs Monday nights.
“I am thrilled to join the new team at NFL Films and work on such a historic television series,” Belichick said in a press release. “I have always appreciated the in-depth analysis on Inside the NFL and am excited to bring that same in-depth insight to The CW this season as I discuss real football with real pros Ryan, Chris and Chad.”
Belichick was speculated to be the front-runner to become the Atlanta Falcons’ head coach before Raheem Morris was eventually named.
Belichick was recently in the news for being in a relationship with a 23-year-old woman. Former cheerleader Jordan Hudson.
The legendary Patriots coach has been dominating the headlines after the pair were spotted out on dates in Nantucket and other locations.
