Melania Trump plans to attend RNC

Former first lady Melania Trump is set to attend next week’s Republican National Convention, where her husband, Donald Trump, is expected to be formally nominated as the party’s presidential candidate.

According to multiple reports on Thursday, Melania Trump, 54, is expected to attend the event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with the 78-year-old former president, but her specific role at the event has not yet been finalized.

Discussions are still ongoing about whether the former first lady will speak at the Fiserv Forum and take part in the official program of the Republican National Convention. According to CNN:.

Melania Trump spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2016 and 2020, but it’s rare for the wife of a former president to make an appearance at a 2024 campaign event.

She attended President Donald Trump’s campaign kickoff at Mar-a-Lago in November 2022, but has not been with her husband at his campaign rallies, primary or caucus victory parties, or taken the stage after the first debate with President Biden.

Melania Appeared At several private events for Republican causes at the Trump family’s private residences in Palm Beach and New York.

The Washington Post reported earlier this month that Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, plans to attend the convention to support her father as the nominee, but will not serve as a delegate, fundraiser or take any other political role.

The former president’s 18-year-old son, Barron, made his first appearance at a Trump campaign rally earlier this week in Doral, Florida, where he was introduced by his father and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

The tournament will be held from July 15th to 18th.

The Trump campaign did not respond to The Washington Post’s request for comment.
