The White House press corps is unhappy with Karine Jean-Pierre, who can’t seem to stop repeating lies from the White House about the president’s health.
“I never answered a question wrong,” Jean-Pierre told annoyed reporters. “That’s not true. I was asked about a medical examination, I was asked about a physical exam. That was part of the question I answered.”
“I said, ‘No, he hasn’t had a medical examination’ and I still believe that, and in fact the president still believes that. He has had a verbal examination, which is something the president does two or three times a week,” Jean-Pierre continued.
Jean-Pierre became even more annoyed when another reporter asked the name of the doctor Biden sees weekly.
“I will say right now that I’m not going to give out or identify any names from here on out. It’s for safety reasons. Ed, no matter how hard you push me or how angry you are with me, I’m not going to do that. I’m not going to give out names,” she said.
Pat Gray doesn’t understand why it’s for “safety reasons.”
“If she says the guy’s name, if it’s Dr. Canard, does that mean people are going to try to kill him? Is that a security issue? Are you putting his life at risk by saying, ‘Yeah, he treated the president’? This is bullshit. This is a joke,” Gray says.
Jean-Pierre later claimed it was for the doctor’s “privacy”.
“It’s inappropriate and unacceptable,” she added.
“He’s the president’s physician,” Gray laughs. “That would just ruin his career.”
At another press conference, Jean-Pierre was on the verge of tears.
“We are literally doing everything my team can to provide you with answers,” she said. “Sometimes we disagree, sometimes we disagree, but that’s democracy.”
“So to say that I’m hiding information or insinuating anything else is unfair, really unfair,” she continued. “And I’ll admit, I’ll be the first to admit, sometimes I make mistakes. At least I’ll admit that.”
Since then, things have only gotten worse, with Jean-Pierre telling reporters that sometimes she “doesn’t have information,” but at least she acknowledges it.
When asked if Biden would take a cognitive test, Jean-Pierre had no response.
“Everything he does every day on behalf of the American people is a test of cognitive ability.”
