Biden Is ‘Mentally Slow’ ‘with Sound Judgments’ Person We Saw at NATO Presser

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” The New York Times Columnist David Brooks said that President Joe Biden at Thursday’s NATO press conference was “Biden there, a little slow-witted, a little awkward in his delivery, but fundamentally with sound judgment,” and that Biden “is not the man he was a year ago. He’s a completely different man from 10 years ago.”

Brooks said:[I]It reminded me of when I watched Reagan… when I was a young Reagan supporter. And I was watching the press conferences in closed session, hands up, wondering what he’s going to say now? I hope it’s not bad. I hope it’s not bad. But if you look at his judgments on world history and historical events, Reagan’s judgments on the Soviet Union were correct, in my opinion. And I felt that about Biden. He’s not who he was a year ago. He’s not who he was 10 years ago. I think the Biden I saw at the press conference is the Biden there. He’s a little slow-witted, a little awkward in his expressions, but he basically had the right judgment.
