Shooter at Trump rally is dead, as well as at least one rally attendee: Report

A gunman was killed at a rally for former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. ABC News reported.He quoted Butler County District Attorney Richard A. Goldinger as saying:

Goldinger added that one pedestrian at the scene was “confirmed deceased,” and a “possibly second” pedestrian was also killed, the station reported. CNN reported: Citing multiple law enforcement sources, it said the shooter had been “neutralized.”

“President Trump thanks the police and emergency responders who acted swiftly during this heinous incident,” the Trump campaign said.

The video showed Trump reaching for his right ear while speaking and then leaning over, before Secret Service agents surrounded him and escorted him off the stage.

The Secret Service confirmed that Trump was safe.

Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Chang said: statement“President Trump expressed his gratitude to police and emergency responders for their swift response to this heinous incident. He is safe and is being examined at a local medical facility. More details will be provided in due course.”
