World leaders expressed shock and concern after gunfire rang out at President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
“Sarah and I are shocked by this apparent attack on President Trump,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote on the social media platform X. “We pray for his safety and speedy recovery.”
Former President Trump was rushed off the stage by Secret Service officers after shots rang out at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A law enforcement source told Fox News’ Jackie Henrich that the shooter died and two of the injured were taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh.
A Secret Service source confirmed to Fox News’ Lucas Tomlinson that an FBI team was on the way to the scene to conduct an “assassination investigation.”

Some world leaders were quick to issue comments and opinions expressing their shock and condemnation of X. British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer wrote, “I am appalled by the shocking scenes at President Trump’s rally and my heartfelt prayers go out to him and his family.”

Starmer added: “Political violence in any form has no place in our society and my thoughts go out to all the victims of this attack.”
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese wrote: “The events at former President Trump’s campaign event in Pennsylvania today are disturbing and shocking.”

“Violence has no place in the democratic process,” Albanese added. “I am relieved to hear that former President Trump is safe.”
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a close ally of Trump who visited the former president on Thursday, wrote that his “thoughts and prayers are with the president.” [Donald Trump] In these dark hours.”
Another close Trump ally, Nigel Farage MP and leader of the Reform UK Party, wrote to X, “The mainstream media are spreading a narrative of hate against my friend President Donald Trump. I hope they are proud. Terrible people.”
