President Biden was seen leaving Mass at St. Edmonds Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, just minutes after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
Photos obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital show Biden leaving the church at 6:20pm on Saturday, escorted by aides and Secret Service and wearing a black baseball cap.
The photos were taken about five minutes after Trump was shot and wounded at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, about an hour north of Pittsburgh. Fox News confirmed that the attack was being investigated as an assassination attempt.
Trump fell to the ground clutching his right ear and members of the Secret Service surrounded him before being escorted off the stage by the Secret Service, his ear bloodied.

“Fight!” Trump appeared to shout, bumping fists with the crowd.
Biden addressed the nation shortly after the assassination attempt, calling it “sick.”

“This is terrible. This is terrible,” Biden said. “This is one of the reasons we have to unite this country.”
Biden added that he plans to speak with President Trump in the wake of the assassination attempt.

“It appears he’s doing well,” Biden said. “I’ll be speaking with him soon. There is no place in America for this kind of violence.”
Trump released a statement on Truth Social saying he had been shot in the ear, and his campaign had earlier said the president was in “good spirits” and receiving treatment despite the attack.

“I want to thank the US Secret Service and all of Law Enforcement for their swift response to the shooting that occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person who died at the rally and the family of the other person who was seriously injured,” Trump wrote.

“I can’t believe something like this happened in our country. We still don’t know anything about the perpetrator. He is deceased. I was shot above my right ear. I knew right away something was wrong as I heard a whoosh, a gunshot and felt the bullet penetrate my skin. I was bleeding heavily and realized what was going on. God Bless America!”

The FBI is leading the investigation into the matter and is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the shooting to come forward.

“The FBI has assumed the role of lead federal law enforcement in the investigation of an incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, early today,” the FBI said in a statement. “Special agents from the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office responded immediately, including members of our Crisis Response Team and Evidence Response Technicians. We will continue to support this investigation with the full resources of the FBI, along with our partners in the U.S. Secret Service and state and local law enforcement. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.”
The attempt came just two days before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Trump will officially become the party’s presidential nominee.
