Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk has endorsed Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate following Saturday’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.
Commentator Mike Cernovich posted: “Trump’s running mate must be J.D. Vance. Assassination insurance. Get the idea?”

President Trump is on the verge of announcing his running mate, with many speculating that it will be Vance.
The support comes amid shock following an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, with the FBI identifying Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the shooter.
The FBI urges anyone with information to submit photos or videos online at FBI.gov/butler or call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
Musk also called for the head of the Secret Service to resign.

The gunman fired a bullet that pierced Trump’s ear before he dropped to the ground for cover. Trump stood, pumped his fist in the air and yelled, “Fight! Fight!”
