Ohio Senator J.D. Vance has been nominated as President Donald Trump’s running mate.
In a post on Truth Social on Monday, Trump said he considered many other outstanding talents and decided Vance was the best person for the post.

He said the Ohio senator has served our county with honor and went on to boast that Vance holds degrees from Ohio State University and Yale Law School.
He also praised Vance’s best-selling book and film. Hillbilly ElegyHe said he would defend the hardworking men and women of our country.
Trump said the 39-year-old president plans to focus on the people he has fought so admirably to protect, including American workers and farmers in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Vance added that he would continue to fight for the Constitution, stand with our troops and do all he could to “Make America Great Again.”
The announcement was made on the first day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
