New poll finds Trump beating Biden in 7 swing states

A new poll released Monday showed former President Donald Trump ahead of President Joe Biden in seven battleground states.

A YouGov online poll showed Trump winning Arizona by 7 percentage points, Wisconsin by 5 percentage points, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina by 4 percentage points, and leading Biden by 3 percentage points in Pennsylvania and 2 percentage points in Michigan.

Compared to the same poll conducted in March, Trump’s approval rating has improved in all of these states.

The poll was conducted just days before the assassination attempt at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania.

While the poll was bad news for Democrats in the presidential election, they also had reason to celebrate: their Senate candidates won in five of the same battleground states. I was winning Against his Republican rivals.

In Arizona, Democrat Ruben Gallegos defeated Republican Kali Lake by 7 percentage points, and in Michigan, Democrat Elissa Slotkin defeated Mike Rogers by 9 percentage points.

Polls show Democrats leading Republicans by 7 percentage points in Nevada, winning Pennsylvania by 12 percentage points, and Wisconsin by 7 percentage points.

A previous poll showed Trump’s approval rating rose significantly after Biden’s disastrous debate performance on CNN, with 47% of respondents in that poll saying they would vote for Trump, compared with just 41% saying they would vote for Biden.

Battleground states are states where neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have a majority and where the Electoral College votes could decide the outcome of the presidential election.
