‘Scary Dude’ J.D. Vance Will Divide Country, Make Project 2025 Happen

CNN contributor Van Jones said Monday during the network’s coverage of the Republican National Convention that Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick, is a “horrible man” who will push for the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 plan.

“This guy is scary. What’s scary is if you’re hoping there’s going to be a Kumbaya convention after this near-death experience, this guy is not the Kumbaya pick,” Jones said. “So this is going to show that Donald Trump is going to govern with a hard line. He’s got a pit bull under him, an aggressive dog. He went to law school. He’s going to make a lot of stuff happen there. So if you’re worried about Project 2025 or whatever, this guy is going to keep you up at night.”

He added, “The other thing I want to say is, you hear a lot about Biden not being healthy. Donald Trump is not healthy. Donald Trump eats cheeseburgers all the time. He has heart disease. That’s been reported. He could be the president of the United States. We’ve talked about Kamala Harris too. If J.D. Vance becomes the next president, now or later, the Republican Party will be hardline on the MAGA agenda and a very capable person will scare a lot of the Democrats. So if he is elected, this convention is not going to be a Kumbaya convention.”
