Kate Upton had no idea what she was getting into by falling in love with a baseball player.

“It’s so hard being a baseball player’s wife. The schedule is crazy, so long. I had no idea,” said Upton, 32. “I just fell in love by accident. I didn’t realize there were so many games.”

“It was a whole new experience watching somebody that you love being out there with no control, so the tension was already starting to kick in. It’s like, ‘Oh my God!'” said Upton, who recently appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for the fourth time.
“And I want them to do well and I want them to feel good, because he’s my husband. I want them to go home and be happy and not be disappointed with the way they played and what happened.”
Upton and Verlander first met while filming a commercial in 2012. According to People.
The two began dating in 2014, got engaged before the 2016 baseball season and married in 2017, just days after the pitcher won the World Series in his first season with the Astros.
The couple welcomed 6-year-old daughter Genevieve “Vivi” Upton Verlander the following year.
