Police Shoot Suspect Dead Wielding Knives Near RNC: Sources, Witnesses

A homeless man with a knife who reportedly “heard voices” was shot and killed outside the Republican National Convention (RNC).

by New York PostThe man was seen brandishing two steak knives at police officers near Republican rally headquarters on November 24, 2014, just two hours before members were to take the stage.

Additionally, witnesses reported seeing the victim flee from security guards when he was fatally wounded “after being shot in the back.” Multiple witnesses reported hearing at least eight gunshots.

The suspect’s brother New York Post The unidentified man was homeless.

Additionally, another homeless man who claimed to know the victim’s best friend identified the dead man as “Sam,” but was known to other homeless people at the camp as “Jehovah.”

Sam’s friend, Edward Watkins, said he saw a look of concern in Sam’s eyes before he approached police on Tuesday.

It was known in the community that Sam “wanted to die”, Ms Watkins said, adding that the pair had taken cocaine together.

Meanwhile, the shooting happened just three days after the 45th day.Number President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated in a shooting on Saturday, leading to increased security and police presence throughout the Republican National Convention.
