The Alonso brothers looked glamorous on the red carpet ahead of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.
Instagram Post On Tuesday, Haley Alonso, wife of Mets star first baseman Pete Alonso, shared two cozy photos of the couple dressed in matching black ensembles.
“When in Texas!” Haley captioned the post, which included one photo of the two posing inside Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, where Tuesday’s game was held.
Pete, 29, teamed his sleek black suit with a cowboy hat and snakeskin boots, while Hailey stunned in a black mini dress and high heels.
In an interview with SNYPete said his style “leans all Texas.”
“I got a tie and turquoise… I got a belt,” the four-time All-Star said. “I just wanted to do something Western.”
Hailey, who wore the dress she bought in London to the Mets-Phillies game last month, added: “I just wanted to match him and have a Texas vibe.”
The couple, who married in 2021, agreed that their favorite look of the night was All-Star starting first baseman Bryce Harper, who opted for a “casual cowboy look.”
Pete was named to the National League All-Star team as the backup first baseman behind the Phillies’ star player.
The National League team lost 5-3 to the American League, with Pete pitching in the bottom of the seventh inning but striking out in the ninth.
This year’s All-Star selection marks Pete’s third consecutive year..

Haley, who has attended every one of her husband’s All-Star Weeks, said it’s an experience she never gets tired of.
“It’s really special to be able to watch him achieve his dreams and support him along the way. It’s always a really great week here,” she said.
Pete played in the Home Run Derby on Monday but was eliminated in the first round, missing out on a third championship in the tournament.
He won the Home Run Derby in 2019 and 2021.
“I guess I didn’t hit the ball at the right launch angle enough,” Pete said. “It’s disappointing, but it’s a blessing for me and I’m having a lot of fun being here.”
The Dodgers’ Teoscar Hernandez won this year’s tournament, becoming the team’s first Derby winner.
Pete McGregor’s Mets, currently in third place in the National League East with a 49-46 record, resume play on Friday with a four-game road series against the Marlins.
