Terry Owens turns 51 later this year, but he still believes he can play in the NFL.
He revealed in a recent podcast interview that when Antonio Brown ran off the field and into the tunnel in his final stunt as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2021 season, he was prepared to show his determination with actions, not just words.

Owens said he reached out to Tom Brady but didn’t hear back.
“Tom Brady ignored me,” Owens said. “The Bubba Dub Show” “AB had a big year… At the receiver position, with AB gone, the team needed someone to fill the hole.
“I reached out to him through Randy (Moss) and other guys and asked him to play in third downs and red zone situations. This guy just ignored me. It just shows a lack of respect, but I try to act like I’m respectful when I’m in front of him.”
Owens said he could have helped Brady win one more championship ring before he retires.

“If he really wanted me, it could have happened,” the legendary wide receiver added.
Owens had just turned 48 and Brown’s struggles were spiraling out of control. He was arguing with then-head coach Bruce Arians over injuries and Owens hadn’t played in an NFL game since the 2010 season with the Cincinnati Bengals.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
Tampa Bay was one game away from clinching the NFC South title when Brown left the Buccaneers, and it likely took Owens a few weeks to get ready to play in Tampa Bay.
