According to reports, people close to President Biden are “infuriated” by the escalating pressure for him to resign.
Biden is self-isolating in Rehoboth, Delaware, after testing positive for COVID-19.
“There’s a lot of anger at some donors who say their funding will dry up if Trump doesn’t step down, at what they see as muted support from President Obama, and at Democratic leaders who one source says are ‘hiding’ behind the statements,” CBS News reporter Robert Costa posted on X. “If they want to get rid of Trump, they’re going to have to apply pressure, the source added.”
Regarding Biden’s confusion, Trump campaign says Democrats haven’t even thought about who should be their nominee.

Costa added that Biden feels “slightly neglected” but that “no one has come up with an effective way to calm nervous Democrats from distancing themselves from him, and we know many Democrats are hoping he will back down soon.”
In recent weeks, several Democratic lawmakers have called for Biden to drop out of the race amid questions about his health.
Sources told Fox News that Biden’s contraction of COVID-19 has forced him to slow down his activities for a period of reflection.
