AOC calls ‘bull—-‘ on Democrats privately turning on Biden: Trump is a ‘neo-Nazi’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has accused Democrats in Congress of secretly turning their backs on President Biden, warning that former President Trump is a “neo-Nazi” who could climb back to the White House if Democrats fail to solidify their support for their current leader.

Almost 1 hour Instagram Live video On Friday morning, Ocasio-Cortez argued that Biden “didn’t do very well, to say the least,” in last month’s debate, but that his performance didn’t significantly change people’s perceptions heading into November.

“I think a lot of people know that the president is old. The president is very old. Donald Trump is also very old, he’s a racist, he’s a neo-Nazi. But anyway, I’m not going to talk about Trump right now,” she said.

Ocasio-Cortez instead pivoted her comments to discuss the Democratic Party and the power of people who have a “place” between voters and government, which she said are wealthy donors, organizational leaders, pundits and the media.

She expressed concern about the amount of power these individuals have over political outcomes and voters, saying they often skillfully use their resources and networks to achieve desired outcomes that may go against the views of the American people.

Ocasio-Cortez also took issue with Democrats who have been giving the media a trickle of information about whether Biden should continue in the campaign.

“A lot of Democrats have the press and journalists anonymously make little statements and then print them. I’m not here to bash the press,” she said. “I’m here to bash my colleagues because to me, it’s — and I’m sorry, it’s late at night — I think it’s bullshit. I mean, if you have an opinion, you should stand up and say it publicly.”

The New York Democrat said that if his colleagues have such strong opinions and believe it’s what’s best for the country, they should “put their name on it.”

“I’m not suing people who have publicly named me – God knows, because I’ve done it myself many times – I’m talking about people who are too scared to say what they want to say in public, but aren’t afraid to say what they want to say to journalists if they promise not to use their names. That’s ridiculous,” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez endorsed Biden for reelection on July 8.

“I spoke with the president over the weekend. We had an extensive discussion. The president made it very clear then and has made it very clear since then that he was in this campaign,” Ocasio-Cortez told reporters outside the Capitol.

She continued, “This matter is resolved. He reiterated that this morning. He reiterated that to the nation. Joe Biden is our nominee. He is not withdrawing from the race. He remains in the race and I support him.”
