Kentucky Gov. Kentucky Gov. Beshear doesn’t deny that he’s in running to be Harris’ veep pick

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear on Monday did not rule out himself as a possible running mate for Kamala Harris, saying he’d be “honored to be a part of that.”

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Beshear repeatedly dodged questions about whether he had been approached to be Harris’ running mate, or at least would consider it, after President Biden abandoned his reelection campaign on Sunday.

“I’m not sure how this process will work, but I’m honored to be a part of it,” the governor said.

“I love my job and I love serving the people of Kentucky. The only way I would consider a job outside of my current job is if I believe I could further help my people and this country,” he continued.

“I think if someone points that out, we should at least listen. And I want the American people to know what Kentuckians are like, what they look like, because let’s just say J.D. Vance is not from here.”
