Dodgers fan fight erupts after drink-throwing incident

The Dodgers vs. Red Sox game wasn’t the only one taking place at Dodger Stadium on Sunday night.

Video footage taken by multiple fans showed two couples fighting along the left field foul line in what appeared to be the lower tier area of the stadium.

The two women were confronted face to face, with one appearing to try to protect her partner.

“It’s none of his business!” one yelled. “Don’t touch my boyfriend!”

As security tried to separate the pair, nearby fans began chanting, “Take them off!”

A spilled drink sparked a fan fight at Dodger Stadium. translation:

Things took a turn for the worse when the sunglasses-wearing man waved goodbye to the other woman, who then spilled her drink on him.

Not only did the man throw more of his drink back at the woman, but a fistfight broke out between four men, two on each side.

The guards endured the attack and tried to keep the contingent at bay.

“Shut up!” and “Stop it!” shouted two stadium officials.

Security guards did their best to intervene and stop the altercation. translation:

The fight garnered attention beyond social media.

Dodgers stars Teoscar Hernandez, Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were also mesmerized, turning towards the stands as the melee continued.

Hernandez, last week’s Home Run Derby winner, even mimicked throwing a punch himself.

The brawl happened in the bottom of the first inning of Sunday’s game, possibly shortly after Freddie Freeman’s solo home run.

Buoyed by Ohtani’s own massive 473-foot home run, the Dodgers beat the Red Sox 9-6 and swept Boston.

Chavez Ravine has seen a number of clashes between spectators in the past.

In April, two Dodgers fans got into a fight in a stadium parking lot, and another was escorted away by four security guards.

However, the 2024 MLB season appears to have been a relatively quiet one overall for spectators.
