‘Please help bury my Mama!’

A grieving Georgia teenager was spotted holding a heartbreaking sign beside the train tracks in his small town, hoping to raise money for his mother’s funeral.

Kayden Ely, 11, was spotted holding a sign that read, “Help me bury my mommy!” in the town of Lindale, Georgia, days after his mother, Shannon Mount, 45, died suddenly. WSBSTV Video report.

Mount went into cardiac arrest at his home on July 8.

Her boyfriend, Billy Upton, tried to save her and performed CPR until paramedics arrived and revived her.

However, the outlet said Mount remained on life support and died on July 18.

Ms Mount “had no life insurance” at the time of her death, leaving her 11-year-old son “losing the only thing he had ever known”, according to a crowdfunding page set up for the teenager.

Following her death, Ellie was seen standing beside the town’s train tracks over a period of two days, holding a tearful sign.

But local residents noticed the distressed boy and others joined him on the sidelines, selling hot dogs and drinks to raise funds.

But the small town’s kindness didn’t end there.

Moved by Ellie’s determination to give her mother a proper funeral, someone donated space for her burial. 11 Alive.

Others pitched in to help cover funeral expenses.

A crowdfunding page has also surpassed its $7,000 goal, raising a massive $23,000 since it was posted by Mount’s cousin, Jennifer Fife, last week.

Fife wrote in his update that any surplus money will be used towards Ellie’s college fund.

Mount’s funeral will be held July 27th at the chapel of Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

She was the mother of five children and grandmother of one grandchild. Obituary.

Her mother is remembered as a “straightforward person” who cared deeply for her friends and family.

“She never glossed over anything and was always ready to scold when necessary. She loved her children dearly, even when her life was in chaos,” her family wrote.

“She never wanted anyone to embellish her life as something she wasn’t. She was raw, real and unapologetic. She wasn’t the perfect mother or housewife, but she did her best.”

He is survived by his sons Chance Smith, Austin Ross and Kayden Ellie, daughters Tabitha Ross and Destiny Ross, and grandson Colton Turpin.
