Former college football punter Kyle Ulbrich is doing everything he can to make his NFL dream come true.
As training camps began opening across the league this week, Ulbrich was spotted just outside the gates of the Miami Dolphins’ practice facility and headquarters in South Florida.
The former Middle Tennessee State University star held up a sign touting his exploits as a collegiate punter and was looking for an opportunity to show off his skills.

One of the handmade signs also features a QR code, directing viewers to his personal website.

Another campaign sign read, “Kyle Ulbrich, Punter Candidate 2024.”
Ulbrich said he simply wanted “an opportunity to prove” he could play in the NFL.
“It’s always a dream until it’s reality,” Ulbrich wrote on Twitter. “I just want a chance to prove myself.”
Ulbrich will face stiff competition if he wants to make the Dolphins roster.
Punter Jake Bailey is currently at the top of the Dolphins’ depth chart. Bailey spent four seasons with the New England Patriots before joining the Dolphins in 2023. He was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection in 2020.

Ulbrich also indicated he would be open to taking over as kicker for Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders.

Ulbrich had a standout season at MTSU in 2023, finishing the year with a career-best punting average of 47.1 yards and earning All-Conference honors.

However, he has struggled to get punted balls inside the opposing 20-yard line, which could be a liability for NFL teams.
