Video footage of trump shooter on roof

Police body camera footage shows the body of the gunman who opened fire on former President Trump from a rooftop as authorities tried to clear the chaos that followed the shooting.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, posted a three-minute video to social media on Tuesday that showed authorities on the roof of the building in Buttlett, Pennsylvania, where Trump’s shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot and killed by a sniper.

The footage was obtained from the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit and posted by Grassley on X.

Secret Service Director Cheetah resigns amid growing pressure following Trump assassination attempt

“The Beaver County sniper saw him and sent us a photo. This is him,” someone can be heard saying off-camera, as Crooks’ body can be seen lying next to a blood stain on the roof, a few feet away from what appears to be a rifle.

A man, believed to be a Secret Service agent, is seen speaking with local authorities, asking about a bicycle found on the ground nearby.

Body camera footage from the rooftop showed confusion among the officers and the rifle used in the attempted shooting of Trump.

“Was he on that bike?” someone can be heard asking.

“I don’t know,” someone replies.

“Our staff member who was here earlier told me that the owner of the bike was in custody,” a man believed to be a Secret Service agent said, pointing at Crooks. “I said, ‘No, no, that’s the owner of the bike.'”

A local police officer told Secret Service agents that the gunman, who sent photos of the shooter, had seen a person on a motorbike and placed a bag there before losing sight of him.

He also spoke about the two other people being detained.

“Get them. Find out who they know. Find out who they are,” the Secret Service agent said. “We’re trying to get some hard information to give to D.C.”

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned on Tuesday amid widespread criticism of security lapses that allowed Crooks to go onto a rooftop and take clear photos while Trump was speaking to supporters.
