‘Not One Undertone of Peace’

soprano Star actress Drea de Matteo has commented on Hollywood’s reaction to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, saying that despite the left claiming to be the party of “inclusion, love and peace”, they have “not demonstrated a single note of peace”.

“Everyone has the right to an opinion, we have freedom of speech, that’s why we’re here,” De Matteo said. SaidHe added, “But I’m a liberal. I’m a liberal who doesn’t understand how the left has become so reactionary with no inkling of peace, love, harmony or compassion.”

“They’re supposed to be the party of inclusivity, love and peace and all of a sudden you have rioters. They’re mean people. I don’t get it,” the actress continued.

De Matteo later responded to a video clip of actor Jack Black’s band Tenacious D mocking President Trump the day after he survived the assassination attempt, with one band member yelling, “Don’t let Trump get away next time.”

“It’s not that I was against them saying anything, but rather I think it was shocking to hear the crowd cheering and to hear some people in America condoning death. I can’t understand that,” De Matteo said.

“Say what you want about Trump. I understand a lot of people have Trump Derangement Syndrome, I am one of them. But people can change, and Trump didn’t change. I did. I started doing my own research and paying more attention to what’s going on,” she added.

As Breitbart News reported, President Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13 during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The attempt came after nearly a decade of left-wing activists, mainstream media, Democrats, and celebrities vilifying him as a dictator and fascist and openly fantasizing about his death.

Moreover, just two weeks before the assassination attempt, left-wing activists and public figures had literally called on President Joe Biden to assassinate President Trump in reaction to the U.S. Supreme Court’s immunity ruling.

Still, De Matteo said last month that Hollywood is full of “quiet” Trump supporters and questioned how much actors are being paid to publicly support President Joe Biden ahead of the November election.

“There are a lot of quiet Trump supporters out there,” she says. “At this point, I wonder how much these actors were paid to support Biden. I wonder if De Niro was paid location fees, because he had to go all the way to court for that.”

De Matteo was commenting on a speech in May by far-left, anti-Trump actor Robert De Niro outside a Manhattan courthouse, where the president’s legal battle was taking place.
