Just as quickly as Hollywood elites stopped funding Joe Biden, they are now back to funding Kamala Harris, pouring support and huge amounts of money into the vice president, believing she is their ticket to victory in November’s election.
Leading the way are trusted Hollywood mega-donors Barry Diller and Netflix’s Reed Hastings.
Netflix co-founder and chairman Reed Hastings has officially joined the “KHive” and donated $7 million to her campaign. “After a depressing debate, we’re back in the game,” Hastings said. informationHe said it was the largest amount he had ever donated to a single candidate.
Veteran studio president Barry Diller also declared his loyalty to Kamala Harris: “I wholeheartedly support Kamala Harris,” he said. The Hollywood Reporter this week, She said she would beat Trump’s “broken ass.”
It is unclear at this time whether Diller has donated to Harris’ campaign. Diller previously donated to Biden’s campaign but declared after the debate that he would no longer support the president’s reelection bid.
Several notable Hollywood fundraisers, including George Clooney and Rob Reiner, have also publicly endorsed Harris, and numerous celebrity influencers, including Mark Ruffalo, Bette Midler and John Legend, have already fully endorsed her.
