FBI raids home of former Hochul aide

The FBI searched the Long Island home of a former aide to New York Governor Kathy Hockle earlier this week.

Federal agents searched Linda Sun’s five-bedroom, $3.5 million mansion in a gated community on Long Island’s North Shore.

“The New York FBI conducted court-authorized law enforcement operations in Manhasset,” an FBI spokesperson told Fox News Digital. The bureau did not provide details about why the home was targeted.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Haukl’s office.

Neither Ms Sun, 40, nor her husband Chris Foo, 41, have been accused of wrongdoing or arrested. New York Post report.

“There have been no formal charges or wrongdoing, but a judge had to approve this search warrant. Searching someone else’s home is very invasive,” said Fox News contributor and attorney Paul Mauro. “The fact that a judge approved it means there must have been some clear indication of wrongdoing.”

The search warrant was obtained by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, and a spokesperson for the office declined to comment to Fox News Digital on the matter.

The home that Sun and her husband owned was transferred to the trust in March, according to property records. Sun, a former deputy chief of staff to Hawkle, also worked for former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

During her time working under Hawkle, Sun focused on business development, Asian American issues and diversity, equity and inclusion, her profile shows.

She left her executive position after 15 months to take a job with the New York State Department of Labor in 2022.

She left office last year after she was allegedly fired following “evidence of misconduct,” a source familiar with the matter told The Washington Post. The alleged misconduct was reported to law enforcement, the source said.

Sun’s husband owned a liquor store in Queens, and at least one bottle of wine displayed near the store’s entrance was selling for $700, The Washington Post reported.
