Elon Musk’s transgender daughter has hit back at her father, saying he effectively “killed” her by transitioning, and accusing him of being “heartless” and “cruel” when he was growing up, yelling at her for being too feminine.
Vivian Jenna Wilson, 20, slammed her estranged father after the Tesla tycoon claimed to his 190 million followers on The X Channel that he had “lost his son” in a shocking interview and post, saying he was “killed by the virus of the awakened mind”.
“I think he assumed I would say nothing and leave it at that,” Wilson said. He told NBC News In a telephone interview.
“I won’t do that. If you blatantly lie about me in front of an audience of millions, I’m not going to let it slide.”
Wilson accused Musk of being a “cold” absentee father and claimed he harassed her when she was still in grade school, when she was called Xavier, for displaying feminine traits.
“I was in the fourth grade. We went on a road trip and I didn’t know it was actually an advertisement for a car. I don’t remember which car it was, but my dad kept yelling at me like it was too high-pitched,” Wilson said.
“It was brutal.”
Mr Wilson added: “He gets angry easily. He’s inconsiderate and self-centered.”
Musk spoke for the first time about what it was like losing Wilson, one of six children he had with ex-wife Justine Wilson, during an interview with psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson for The Daily Wire.
The 53-year-old billionaire claimed his child was “tricked” into approving a transgender-related medical procedure when he was 16, calling it “incredibly evil” behaviour by people who should go to prison.
“I lost my son. There’s a reason they call it ‘deadnaming,’ they call it ‘deadnaming,’ because your son is dead. My son, Xavier, is dead. Killed by the virus of the awakened mind,” he said.
“From then on, I vowed to destroy the virus of the awakened mind,” he said.
The SpaceX founder, whose net worth is estimated at $200 billion, sent a message to his 190 million followers.
“Xavier is gay and was born with mild autism, two characteristics that contribute to his gender dysphoria,” the SpaceX mogul wrote.
“I knew from the time he was about four years old that he loved musicals and plays, and he would pick out clothes for me to wear, like jackets, and say, ‘That’s lovely!’
“But he wasn’t a girl.
Musk’s child made headlines in 2022 when he filed his first petition in a California court seeking a name and gender change.
As well as dropping the surname Musk, the mogul’s daughter filed suit to sever all ties with her famous father, saying she “no longer lives with, and has no desire to have, a relationship with her biological father in any capacity.”
