The Nebraska Supreme Court on Friday upheld a state law banning gender-affirming medical care for minors and abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy, ruling that the two issues can be legally combined. The abortion ban was added as an amendment to Legislation 574, which limits access to gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth, on the final day of last year’s Nebraska legislative session.
