Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden’s pick to succeed him in the 2024 presidential election, made her left-leaning political views clear by promoting socialism just days before the 2020 presidential election.
On November 1, 2020, Harris posted a video showing the difference between “equality” and “fairness,” with the caption, “There’s a big difference between equality and fairness.”
“There’s a big difference between equality and fairness. Equality suggests, ‘everyone should get the same amount.’ The problem is [is] “Not everyone starts at the same place,” she says, as the video shows an illustration of two people, one light-skinned and one dark-skinned, attempting to climb a mountain. They are each given a rope, and the white man begins to climb with it. The other man, who appears to be black, cannot reach the rope and begins the climb several feet lower than the white man, despite being given the same length of rope.
“So if we all get the same amount, but you start at the back and I start here, we’re going to get the same amount, but you’re still going to be way behind me,” Harris said.The illustration shows a white man climbing with a black man far behind looking up at him.
“It’s about giving people the resources and support they need so that everyone can compete on an equal footing and we all end up in the same place,” she continues.The video shows flowers blooming on the ground, a black man holding a rope climbing up to the white man’s original level, and then the black man grabbing the rope and climbing to the top, where he meets the white man.
“Fair treatment means we all end up in the same place,” Harris added.

Harris’ explanation was not well received, with many accusing her of simply reframing socialism, Breitbart News reported at the time.
“Government power impartiality inevitably puts some groups at a disadvantage over others, leading to social engineering outcomes that are neither fair nor just,” one person said. It pointed out.
“The Democrats have finally professed their admiration for the most oppressive system of organizing society,” another user said. Said.
“Kamala Harris is still openly calling for communism on November 1st,” another wrote. Added“They’re now talking about it brazenly and openly.”
As Breitbart News also reported, GovTrack rated Harris as the most liberal senator in 2019, despite hastily deleting the page, claiming that it had discontinued the single-year report card “several years ago.” However, at the time of Breitbart News’ reporting, the page was still active as of July 22, 2024. Breitbart News further picked up on these ratings in 2020, noting that GovTrack had ranked Harris the fourth most liberal senator in 2018, and that the following year, Harris was named the most liberal senator.
