AMC has updated The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – Carol’s Book Towards season 3.
according to deadlineProduction on the third season will begin next month and will be based in Madrid with location shooting in Galicia, Aragon, Catalonia and Valencia.
Season 3 continues to show Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) resuming their journey to their loved ones, a perilous journey amid the Walker apocalypse that tests them further at every turn.
The news is somewhat surprising considering AMC told Decider in 2022 that McBride probably wouldn’t be appearing on the show in the first place because the show was moving to Europe.
“I’m so grateful for Daryl and Carol’s new challenge of being so far away from everything they’ve ever known – what it means for them and what it brings to each of them, both apart and together. There’s so much more to come in France for the upcoming Season 2 and breathtaking finale. And now it’s Spain! We can already see that David Zabel’s storytelling will make the most of all that is beautiful and unique about Spain. We start filming there in just a few weeks – I can’t wait!”
