If diving is an Olympic sport of your choice, you’re in luck: Day 1 kicks off with the women’s synchronized springboard final, broadcast live on NBC.
For the early risers and gymnastics fans, the men’s gymnastics preliminaries will begin at 5:50 a.m. ET.
It’s a big day for freestyle, with four gold medals up for grabs in the men’s 400m freestyle, women’s 4x100m freestyle relay, men’s 4x100m freestyle relay and women’s 400m freestyle, where veteran swimmer Katie Ledecky will be looking to win her eighth gold medal in her fourth Olympic Games.
The cycling trials are underway, with the women’s race starting at 9am ET, and the streets of Paris are set to be bustling with cyclists.
They will depart shortly thereafter at 10:45 a.m. ET and will be broadcast live on USA Network.
Plus, don’t miss the U.S. men’s soccer team, which continues its group stage match against Group A’s New Zealand at 1 p.m.

The event, making its second Olympic appearance, sees surfers show off their moves and tricks which are judged by a panel of five judges on variety, type, difficulty, speed, power and flow.
Competitors use shortboards, known for their speed and maneuverability.
Carissa Moore of the U.S. team, the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal in shortboard surfing, is aiming for her second gold medal.
Despite being in Paris, the surfing competition will take place in Teaaupo, a small village on the coast of Tahiti.
