Jonathan Vegas held off some tough competition at the 3M Open to win his fourth PGA Tour title. He beat PGA Tour rookie Max Glaserman by one stroke.
The 40-year-old finished with a 17-under total but took the final 18 holes to finish with a 1-under 70, the highest score of the week for Vegas but enough to hold on to the win.
Despite not feeling his best, Vegas recorded four birdies and three bogeys. He made a crucial birdie putt on the 18th hole to avoid a playoff against Glaserman. The best part of the win for Vegas may have been the money.
The 3M Open has a prize purse of $8.1 million, an increase of $300,000 over the 2023 total.
He took home $1.458 million in prize money and 500 FedEx Cup points from Vegas, which should put him in the top 70 for the playoffs.
Glazerman took second place alone, winning $882,900, while Matt Kuchar and Maverick McNeely tied for third place, each winning $477,900.
