Featured Events: Badminton – Day 3

Badminton, one of the three racquet sports featured in the Olympic Games, made its official Olympic debut in 1992 at the Barcelona Games in four medal categories: men’s and women’s singles and men’s and women’s doubles.

Forget tennis balls or ping pong balls, what matters is the birdie, also known as the shuttlecock or shuttle.

It is a best-of-three series and the first team or player to reach 21 points wins.

China has won a total of 20 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 15 bronze medals, making them a powerhouse to be reckoned with.
