New England Patriots star defensive tackle Christian Barmore will be out for a period of time after the team announced he was being treated for a blood clot.
The news came as a shock on Barmore’s 25th birthday and just months after he signed a contract extension with the Patriots.

Barmore’s agent, Nicole Lynn, thanked Patriots athletic trainer Jim Whalen for “his absolute diligence and care over the past few days.” ESPN report.
