“They had dreamed of traveling the world since their time in Cuba, so cruising was an easy way for them to get to different places in a short amount of time,” she said.

Today, Diaz’s love for cruise ships has led her to work full-time as a food and travel content creator.

Diaz, who lives in a city that’s a popular cruise port, said what she likes best about cruising is that “it’s so easy and relaxing.”

She said: “Most cruises leave from Miami, so for me it’s just a short drive to the port, I check in my passport while they take my bags and that’s it – I’m on holiday.”
