There may still be hope for Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship.

A rift in the brothers’ relationship began in 2016 when it was reported that Prince William was concerned about the pace of Prince Harry’s relationship with his current wife, Meghan Markle.
The brothers last made a public appearance together after Queen Elizabeth’s death in September 2022.
Prince Harry, 39, previously opened up about his relationship with Prince William, 42, in his memoir, “Spare,” in which he reflected on their long-running disputes.
In his 2020 book, Battle of Brothers: Princes William and Harry: Inside a Turmoil Family, British historian Robert Lacey chronicled their feud and suggested the rift was sealed by fate, with William inheriting his father’s sense of duty and Harry determined not to make “the same mistakes” as his parents.
The rift between Prince Harry and other members of the royal family first became public when he and Markle, 42, stepped down as senior members of the royal family and moved to the United States in 2020.
And now, just like their father, King Charles II, Prince William is reportedly avoiding all calls, texts and messages from his brother, who is trying to get in touch again amid the fight to keep his family safe.
People magazine reported on Wednesday that Queen Elizabeth has stopped speaking to Prince Harry, with a source telling the paper that “he is now ‘unreachable.'”
“His phones are unanswered. He has attempted to contact them about the King’s health but those calls have also gone unanswered,” they added, referring to the announcement in February that Prince Charles had been diagnosed with cancer.
In 2022, Prince Harry petitioned the British government to grant him protection in the UK, but the request was rejected in February.
Earlier this month, Prince Harry said in the ITV documentary “Tabloid Trial” that security concerns were the main reason he decided not to bring his wife back to the UK.
“Prince Harry is terrified and feels only his father can do anything about this,” a royal source told People magazine on Wednesday.
“Harry is determined to protect his family at all costs,” said another source familiar with the situation.
Last week, a royal source told Page Six that the only way Prince Harry and Prince Charles could reconcile is if Charles were to give Prince Harry the security clearance he “covets.”
“As king, he has the final say and that will be how father and son can reconcile,” the source said.
The insider said he would “put down his sword” once the security issue was resolved. [Harry] I couldn’t be happier than to have been able to reconnect with my father.”
However, a source told People magazine that the idea that Prince Harry’s security is in the hands of Prince Charles is “completely wrong.”
