Harris Campaign Hauls In $310 Million For July

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign announced Friday that her campaign had raised $310 million in July, according to multiple reports.

The vice president’s new figures came after President Joe Biden wrapped up his reelection effort and endorsed Harris as the party’s new presumptive nominee. In addition to the more than $300 million this month, her campaign and other affiliated committees now have $377 million in cash. according to To Politico.

Additionally, the campaign announced it would raise more than $1 billion for the group with about 90 days left until voters go to the polls, Politico reported. (Related article: Trump campaign raises about $140 million in July)

“This is a historic achievement for a candidate who is set to make history in November,” Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez told Politico. “The massive influx of support we’ve seen in a short amount of time is a clear signal that the Harris campaign is rallying, growing and ready to work hard to defeat Trump in November.”

On July 23, Harris received the endorsement of more than 3,000 delegates, and a large number of lawmakers, donors and other politicians rallied in support of her.

Harris received enough votes in a “virtual roll call” on Friday to win the support of a majority of delegates, both in the Senate and after delegates voted electronically from home. according to The number of delegates Harris has won has yet to be confirmed, but she is expected to officially become the Democratic presidential nominee at the party’s convention in mid-August, the Associated Press reported.

Harris’ campaign announcement came one day after former President Donald Trump’s campaign announced that it had raised $138.7 million in July and had $327 million in total cash on hand.

In recent weeks, Harris’ team has been hosting a variety of Zoom fundraising events, particularly those aimed at specific demographics, such as “White Men for Harris” and “Black Women for Harris.”

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
