As Free Beacon noted:
In 2002, West took on the defense of “American Taliban” John Walker Lindh, who had been captured in Afghanistan a year earlier and subsequently indicted on charges of collaborating with the Taliban and al-Qaida, as well as conspiring to kill Americans. During the trial, West, then an attorney with the San Francisco law firm Morrison & Foerster, known for defending enemy combatants in U.S. custody, denied allegations that Lindh was a terrorist.
“He’s not a terrorist,” West said of Lind in a 2002 interview. The Washington Post “He didn’t go to Afghanistan to kill Americans,” Lindh said in an interview. Lindh, who also goes by the aliases Suleiman al-Faris and Abu Suleiman al-Irrandi, was later sentenced to 20 years in prison and has refused to renounce his extremist Islamic beliefs.
According to Breitbart News, in May 2019, Lindh wrote a letter to reporters and authors praising the Taliban’s jihad and the Islamic State of Afghanistan (ISIS/ISIL), but after he was released into American society, the recipients accused him of being unrepentant.
According to the media, he initially expressed regret for joining the Taliban, but later said he was “proud to have taken part in the jihad in Afghanistan.”

“Lind’s early release came thanks to a plea agreement, about three years before his 20-year sentence was due to expire,” the article noted.
Following his release in 2019, then-President Donald Trump said he “didn’t like it at all,” Breitbart News reported.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) nominated Harris as the party’s presidential candidate, a move that, according to Breitbart News, ignored the 14 million Democrats who voted for President Joe Biden in the primary.
Breitbart News reported:
The swift coronation underscored how quickly Democrats have moved to crown Harris, who has never won a presidential primary vote in her political career. She dropped out of the 2020 race before the Iowa caucuses and did not enter the 2024 race until Biden endorsed her.
According to Breitbart News, David Plouffe, a key figure in former President Barack Obama’s campaign, will also join Harris’ presidential campaign as a senior adviser.
