Simone Biles not ruling out 2028 Olympics as she dominates Paris

As Simone Biles continues to make history by winning her third Olympic gold medal at the 2024 Olympics, she had a message to share after her latest international gold medal win.

She may not be done yet.

The 27-year-old won her latest Paris Games victory in Saturday’s vault final, bringing her total to 10 medals, the most ever by an Olympic gymnast.

Even though she has two more chances to medal in Monday’s floor exercise and balance beam finals, she has not yet ruled out a return to the Olympic stage in 2028, when Los Angeles will host the event.

“I wouldn’t say never,” Biles told reporters Saturday. “The next Olympics are in my country, so who knows what’s going to happen. I’m really old.”

Biles, who will be 31 at the next Summer Olympics, dominated in stunning form to win one silver medal after struggling with “twisties” at the last Olympics and forcing an early withdrawal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

She has won seven Olympic gold medals, just two behind former Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, who holds the record for most artistic gymnast titles with nine.

Biles is the oldest skater to represent the United States at the Olympics in 72 years, and she continues her dominance in style in 2024.

Biles had already hit back at criticism earlier in these Olympics, but said her detractors after Tokyo have now largely been silent.

“It’s strange because they’re so quiet now,” she said.
