Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-Lausanne) warned former President Trump to focus on Vice President Harris’ poor judgment, rather than her record, as she seeks a second term in the Oval Office.
Graham was a guest on “Fox News Sunday,” where Fox’s Jackie Heinrich asked him about Trump’s comments about Harris’ racial identity.
“So to President Trump, my issue with Kamala Harris is not where she’s from, it’s her judgment,” Graham said. “She’s been wrong on every point. When she tried to explain what we’re going to do about inflation and the coming recession, it was incoherent. It’s incoherent.”
President Trump posted an image of Harris’ birth certificate on Truth Social this week after receiving a lot of criticism for comments he made during a National Association of Black Journalists question-and-answer session in Chicago on Wednesday.

“She’s always just been Indian and promoting her Indian ancestry,” the former president said during a Q&A. “I didn’t know she was black until a few years ago, when she happened to be black. And now she wants to be known as black. So, I don’t know. Is she Indian or is she black?”
Heinrich questioned Graham about Trump’s comments and whether they alienated millions of Black voters, including in South Carolina.
The senator noted that 30 percent of the state’s population is African-American, adding that former Gov. Nikki Haley is of Indian descent and one of her children was married to an African-American football player who attended Clemson University.

“We’re talking about her record every day, not about her horrible and dangerous liberal track record throughout her political career. Today is a good day for her, but a bad day for us,” Graham said. “So I encourage President Trump to file a lawsuit against Kamala Harris for her misjudgment.”
During the show, Graham also sent a message to Trump that this was an election he would lose.

“It’s important that you win, so that we can reset our broken borders and get the world back on track,” he said. “The American people want solutions to their problems. I think your presidency has been a great presidency for our national security and prosperity.”
