American Noah Lyles became the fastest man in the world on Sunday and celebrated his gold medal with girlfriend Jenelle Bromfield in an affectionate moment photographed on sprinting’s biggest stage.
The photo shows Lyles and Bromfield, the Jamaican Olympian who will be paired with Lyles in 2022, embracing each other after Lyles beat Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson by 0.005 seconds to win gold in the 100m at the Paris Olympics on Sunday.
Lyles won the gold medal in a time of 9.79 seconds and needed a final photo finish victory to claim the title of the fastest man in the world.
Lyles and Bromfield, both 27, were surrounded by a sea of spectators and the track and field stars seemed lost in the moment.
Bromfield, 26, posted a congratulatory photo to Instagram of Lyles embracing her after winning the gold medal.

Their unique love story began long before 2022, as they first dated in 2017 after meeting through social media. People reported.
