Featured sport: Sport climbing

Imagine rock climbing at a kid’s birthday party, but taken to the next level.

Incorporating categories such as speed (two climbers going head to head on a 15-metre wall), bouldering (no actual ropes used) and lead (how far up the wall they can climb in six minutes), athletes compete against each other on dexterity and speed.

This will be the second time that an Olympic medalist will be selected in a separate speed division in addition to the overall results in bouldering and lead.
