Trump-Endorsed Mike Rogers Lays Out How Republicans Can Retake the Senate

There is a path for Republicans to take back the Senate from the Democrats, Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers said during a television appearance. Breitbart News Daily.

Rogers, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, offered his take on the current state of affairs in the fight to retake the Senate from the control of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

“You know, I believe the seat is up for grabs,” he began, before praising Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, for opening up the door and making Michigan an issue.

“So now it’s Michigan up for grabs. Ohio, Montana. I think we’re going to win the Montana seat because Tim Sheehy, a former Navy SEAL, is doing a very good job in Montana. So that seat is 50-50. Next we’re projected to win is Michigan, and the reason is because our numbers are so good,” he said.

“So we think we’ll be at the 51st seat, which of course gives us a majority. And we’d like to add more seats. We’d like some wiggle room there to get Ohio, Pennsylvania. Think about it. In Maryland, Governor Hogan’s doing a really great job and it’s within the margin of error,” Rogers explained, noting that a New Mexico seat won by Nella Domenici is also at stake. Arizona is also at stake, with Kali Lake leading the Republican race and “closing in” on Democrats.

“That’s why Democrats now have to be on the defensive in a lot of places. Places like ours don’t have an incumbent, and that alone is worth 1.5 points. So we’re going to win this election for the state,” he continued.

“We’ll be at 51, then others will join and we’ll get to the 53 to 55 range,” he added.
