Alexa PenaVega and her husband Carlos once had issues with the Spy Kids actress filming a love scene in a movie.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Alexa revealed that when she and Carlos were first married, he was jealous that she was filming those scenes, but things got easier as her relationship with God grew.
“So, years ago Carlos would get a little jealous, but as we’ve become more confident and secure and, honestly, closer to God, I think our roles have started to change more with what we take on,” Alexa explained.

“But there’s such a strong sense of trust in our relationship that I don’t think I ever needed to feel threatened by anyone else.”

Carlos explained that since he began working with the organization, he knows that the scenes his wife is filming are “safe,” whether he’s on set with her or not.
“That’s what I love about Great American Family,” he said. “When she’s not on screen with me, I know that whatever she’s doing or whoever she’s with, she’s safe, and everything’s going to be OK. So it’s a great home for us.”

Alexa and Carlos play romantic partners in the upcoming untitled movie, and when asked by Fox News Digital if filming those scenes was awkward for them, they both said it wasn’t.
“I think this film is really special because we were basically given the opportunity to produce it. It’s ours, our production company. It’s the first film that we’ve actually been able to produce together and from the ground up,” Carlos said.

“So for us, it’s been really special to get to play these characters on screen. It’s been really fun.”
Although religion is important to PenaVegas, they don’t intend to limit their career to Christian films.

“So we’re kind of at a 50/50 position. We really think faith-based films are important, but more importantly, we think they’re films for the world, but they’re made by people who believe in the kingdom of God. We don’t just want to make Christian films,” Alexa said.
“We want to make a movie that means so much, so much, that you feel so good after you’ve seen it that you don’t know why,” she added. “And that’s because everything in the movie really is from God’s kingdom, but we’re talking about the real world. Christian movies are often thought of as cheesy and cliched, but honestly, the Christian life is hard.”
“Life can be ugly but there is a way out of it and we want to show the world that,” Carlos added.

Alexa and Carlos met at a Bible study group and soon married in 2014. It hasn’t been an easy year for the couple.
Alexa and Carlos shared the news that their baby was stillborn on April 15. In a statement shared on their respective Instagram accounts, the couple wrote, “There are no adequate words to describe this loss. After a beautiful, calm birth, our daughter, Indy, was born peacefully. It has been a difficult journey, but amidst the pain we have found peace. God continues to comfort us and hold us in His arms.”

For the past few months, they’ve been keeping fans updated about her pregnancy. Indi is their fourth child. They already have sons Ocean, 7, and Kingston, 4, and daughter Rio, 2.
In June, Alexa told Fox News Digital that religion played a big role in helping her recover from the tragedy.

“I don’t know how people do it without God because I can only describe it as like a supernatural peace that just doesn’t make sense,” Alexa said. “It doesn’t make sense. It’s beyond comprehension. We were obviously devastated after it all happened. We were heartbroken. And yet, we felt like God was just saying, ‘Hey, I’m so sorry you had to go through this, but I’m here for you and I’m going to make a way for you.'”
